DONATE UNWANTED ITEMS & HELP KIDS!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salina collects used clothing and household items to benefit our program. All donations support matching kids with Big Brothers and Big Sisters. The BBBS Donation Center serves Saline County. The Donation Center solicits used, re-saleable clothing and small household items from the community, which are then sold to our retail partner, Savers. Excess funds go directly to support BBBS programs, contributing to approximately 10% of our annual budget.

There are five BBBS Purple Bin donation locations around Salina:

• Salina Central Mall Parking Lot (behind Starbucks)
• Sam’s Club – 2919 Market Place
• Genesis Health Club – 1830 S. 9th St
• 624 S. Broadway Blvd
• Evergy Parking Lot, 1001 Edison Pl

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS:

• Clothing: jackets, shoes, boots, shirts
• Household items: area rugs, pots/pans,small appliances, bed sheets/comforters, pillows (No mattresses)
• Toys
• Books

UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS:

• Major appliances: stoves, washers/dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators
• Cribs, walkers, playpens, swing sets, car seats manufactured after 1986
• Waterbeds, mattresses, box springs, bed frames
• Heavy equipment, construction items, tires
• Paint/chemicals
• Food
• Large or heavy furniture
• Electronics
