Changing perspectives. Changing lives.

Our Vision: all children achieve success in life.

Our Mission: provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

Accountability: by partnering with parents/guardians, volunteers and others in the community we are accountable for each child in our program achieving:

  • Higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships

  • Avoidance of risky behaviors

  • Educational success

At Big Brothers Big Sisters our staff is dedicated to improving and changing the lives of children in the Salina area for the better. We take our responsibility of creating life-changing friendships seriously and our number one priority is the safety and well being of the children in our program. Our staff is professionally trained and works together to deliver the best quality of service possible for children, volunteers, families and the community. Our professionals match Littles to Bigs, support these safe relationships with skill and compassion and pave the way for lifelong friendships that create lifetime memories.

We are always available to answer your questions about our program and services. Feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail or drop by our office.

Since 1968 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salina, Inc. has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through 18, in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
